Before downloading
mrt,
please familiarize yourself with our
copyright on the program.
Mrt is not free software,
and there are restrictions on its use for commercial purposes.
If you want to use mrt, download the
mrt Perl script
and install it in any convenient place on your system. (Note that with some
browsers it may be necessary to hold the shift key down while clicking on
the link just above. Otherwise the mrt script will just
be displayed as plain text within the current browser frame.)
Note that the mrt script requires three types
of user inputs, i.e.:
-
A test patterns file describing the exact types of relaying tests
you would like to perform
-
A test message file containing the text of the mail message
to use when performing relaying tests
-
A set of host names or IP addresses, indicating which specific
mail servers are to be tested
If you are interested in performing a comprehensive set of relaying tests
that cover most known mail server relaying exploits, you can download and use
this test patterns file .
Before using mrt to perform relaying tests,
you will also need to develop your own test message file, but you
can look at
this test message file as a general example of what your own test message
file should look like.
